Project Description: In early 2018, EVC was approached with a challenge to electrify an older, originally diesel-powered snowmobile. The customer's motivation was to verify the technical and operational parameters of a fully battery-powered solution to meet the increasingly stringent requirements for the environmentally friendly operation of winter ski resorts. EVC's design and manufacturing staff used their knowledge of electric midibus and van drive design to get a working prototype electric snowmobile up and running and delivered to the customer in a record time of 14 days.

Scope of delivery: design, selection and construction of electric drive components; design and construction of battery modules and enclosures including selection of appropriate chemistry and design of lithium cells
